Repent
To repent is to turn around: stop going your own way, admit your sin to God, and turn toward Him. It’s a change of mind that becomes a change of life.
FIRM Christian Ministries
We want to be the Church described in Acts chapter 2. A Virginia church based in Pearisburg, active in the USA, Colombia, Ecuador, and Nigeria. Where are you starting from?
I’m exploring faith
You don’t need a church background to begin. Here’s what following Jesus actually means, in plain words. No pressure. Take it one step at a time.
To repent is to turn around: stop going your own way, admit your sin to God, and turn toward Him. It’s a change of mind that becomes a change of life.
Believing isn’t just agreeing that Jesus lived. It’s trusting Him with your life, as the Son of God who died for you and rose again.
Everything centers here. On the cross Jesus paid for our sins with His own blood. That’s where forgiveness comes from, and where a clean conscience begins.
We talk about the cross a lot, because Scripture does.
Jesus’ followers were baptized in water and received the Holy Spirit. We insist on both. They’re part of the new birth, not optional extras.
Jesus taught His followers to rejoice even when things go wrong (Matthew 5). Life with Him isn’t trouble-free. It’s joy that holds up under trouble.
Faith is a path, not a single moment. We walk with you through four stages: F-I-R-M.
I already have a church
FIRM doesn’t build on another man’s foundation (Romans 15:20). We build on God’s Foundations (Hebrews 6:1–2). Why act like a “typical” church? We’re not. We’re aiming at the original one. These five things make us distinct, and we have nothing to be ashamed of.
The New Covenant is simple: follow the Spirit, love, and keep a clear conscience. No other “rules.”
One God, the Father, with one Lord, Jesus Christ, and one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4–6).
We live for the Kingdom of God that’s coming, and we want people who’ll endure to the End.
We insist on both.
The apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. That’s the pattern we follow.
The seven-branched candlestick, and the two times Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish (Matthew 14 and 15).
We’re an integral part of the One Body, the Church, wherever we are, whatever someone’s background. We call ourselves “Christians.”
We cross over freely. We’ll accept an invitation to any denomination or congregation, and a FIRM believer is free to minister in any congregation, because there is One Body.
We’re open to association, fellowship, and conversation. If you want to talk, we want to listen.
Ask us about yours.
If you find a pastor who preaches the Seven Fundamentals (Hebrews 6:1–2), please introduce him or her to us. You can even look for one online. Check their “statement of faith.” Ours is the Fundamentals, the “doctrine of the Apostles” (Acts 2:42).
Introduce a pastorIf you find a pastor who teaches the Seven Realities (Ephesians 4:4–6), we want to know them. Please introduce us as soon as you can. We can work with them. It’s the basis of our unity with other congregations.
Introduce a pastor“So then, brethren, stand FIRM and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us.”

Five things:
Scripture gives a clear and hopeful answer. We go through it carefully, in person, with people in the Integration stage.
Scripture calls it the Last Trumpet, and Revelation lays the events out in order. It’s good news. We study it together with people in Integration. Are you ready for Jesus to come back?
The FIRM path
We guide each person through four stages, all the way to their vocation, their Ministry. Every believer gets at least one gift from the Holy Spirit, and that gift, used consistently, should become a ministry. That’s why “Ministries” is plural in our name.
God’s Foundations: repentance, faith, baptism, and the doctrine of the Apostles.
Fellowship and communion with the Body, using your gifts, and growing in homes.
Spiritual young adulthood: knowing the Seven Realities and defending unity with love.
Spiritual adulthood: plugged into a ministry that fits your gift.
